Malakhai Pearson (b. 1994, Burlington, VT) is a photographer and director based in Brooklyn, New York. A longtime resident of East Boston, he began his photography career in 2018, shooting parties and clubs across New England, work rooted in proximity, trust, and community.

While nightlife and event spaces remain central to his practice, Malakhai’s work today focuses on the intersection of sport, nature, and culture, exploring how physical discipline and environment shape identity. This balance extends beyond his image-making into his personal practice of mixed martial arts and jiu-jitsu, where movement, ritual, and resilience inform his visual language.
